Meet Stevie D. Conlon, Tax Director, GainsKeeper

Cost basis reporting legislation expert Stevie D. Conlon has experience regarding the taxation of financial products and corporate actions.

Before joining GainsKeeper, Stevie was senior tax editor for Capital Changes. She was formerly a tax partner at the law firms Katten Muchin Rosenman and Baker & McKenzie. Ms. Conlon is a prior chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section’s Financial Transactions Committee. She is the lead author of the tax law treatise Principles of Financial Derivatives: U.S. & International Taxation, and a member of the advisory boards for the Journal of Taxation of Financial Products and Derivatives Report. She is also the author of more than 30 bylined articles focusing on the taxation of capital market financial products and has regularly been quoted in prominent industry publications and the financial press. Ms. Conlon is a member of the New York and Illinois Bars and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Meet Richard Ryndak, Manager, International Content Development, Capital Changes

International corporate actions expert Richard Ryndak combines his knowledge of law and international business to provide tax and investment professionals with comprehensive information that summarizes the terms and tax consequences of corporate actions.

As Senior Editor for international corporate actions reporting at Capital Changes, he has been instrumental in developing Capital Changes Commentary for transactions that fail to provide U.S. tax information. Previously, he was Editor for the Capital Changes Tax Treaties Reporter, a guide to international taxation agreements, and the Puerto Rico Tax Law Reporter, which helps those doing business in Puerto Rico understand the Puerto Rico International Revenue Code. Additionally, he practiced law for 15 years, focusing on international trade law and cross-border transactions. Richard participates in multiple speaking engagements at industry trade group events, including those offered by Securities Operations Forum and Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and is Presenter at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ webinars and events, such as the Advent Annual User Conference and the SmartStream conference.
